Overview
The State of Minnesota Construction Codes and Licensing Division's MN State Building Code Jurisdiction Directory lists Sherburne County, MN as having adopted MN State Building Codes. See here for more information.
In a telephone conversation with a PLRB staff member on October 30, 2019, Doug Maschler, Building Official for Sherburne County, MN, confirmed his department enforces the 2015 Minnesota State Building Codes throughout the county and for all townships, except that, Sherburne County does not issue building permits for incorporated municipalities of the County or for Becker Township. There are no building code ordinances available online.

Comments
The 2015 Minnesota Residential Code adopted the 2012 International Residential Code, with amendments. Minn. R. § 1309.0010. The County of Sherburne enforces the 2015 Minnesota Residential Code.
Existing Buildings
Existing buildings, meaning buildings that were built in accordance to code at the time of
construction, typically merit extra consideration in a current updated code.
Any buildings meeting the requirements of the International Residential Code are exempt from the Minnesota Existing Building Code chapter 1311. Minn. R. § 1309.0100.
References to the International Property Maintenance Code do not apply. Minn. R. § 1311.0020.
